St Anne’s was established in 1879 with a manifesto to be a place for the emancipation of any woman who had the potential to study here.
In 2007, Tulett Design was commissioned to create a scheme for the re-development of part of the campus into a combined library and dining hall for St. Anne’s College of Oxford University. The main purpose of the concept was crystalise what the college’s requirements were and to get stakeholder buy in, initial planning feed back and to raise capital. All of which successfully lead to the appointment of architects Fletcher Priest to be given the project to create their own design.
